PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment capable of suppressing the removal of an external storage medium. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment can display content data stored in an external storage medium which can be detached and attached. When the external storage medium is removed during the display of the content data, an alarm sound is outputted. In addition, when a request for blocking power supply to the electronic equipment is received during the display of the content data, an instruction screen for prompting an input of authentication information is displayed on a display unit without permitting the block of power supply.
