PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack assembly, in which the position of an intermediate shelf member can be changed only by disassembling and assembling the intermediate shelf member with other shelf members being left as they are. SOLUTION: The rack assembly 10 includes: four struts 1, each of which has a symmetric shape centered on a strut axis that consists of two main struts 11 and a connecting part 12 that connects the main struts 11, in which a plurality of horizontal grooves 13 are formed at predetermined pitch intervals on both side surfaces of the main strut 11 in the longitudinal direction thereof; a pair of linking members 2, each of which includes a first engagement part having a projection part 25 that engages with the horizontal groove 13 and abutting on a side surface of the strut, and a second engagement part 24 that engages with a shelf member 3, the pair of linking members being mounted to pinch the strut 1 from both sides, utilizing one-half of the area in the short direction of the strut 1; and the shelf member 3 having third engagement parts 31 that engage with the second engagement parts 24 formed roughly at the four corners.
