PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of detecting an operation of a player in a simple constitution by reducing a restriction of the installation place of a detection means. SOLUTION: The game machine includes a game machine frame incorporating a game apparatus body achieving a game, a light transmission plate 10 disposed on a front face of the game machine frame, a visible light sensor 42 measuring an illuminance of the front of the light transmission plate 10, and a control means which determines the player's operation/non-operation in the front of the light transmission plate 10 based on a change in the illuminance measured by the visible light sensor 42.
