PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a lead-free electrolytic capacitor which can avoid whisker generation, and can prevent discoloration, or the like, of a metal wire 1. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the lead-free electrolytic capacitor, using a lead terminal for capacitor includes the steps of bringing the metal wire 1 come into contact with an aluminum wire 5, and welding the metal wire 1 and the aluminum wire 5 to each other. An end of the metal wire 1 is brought into contact with an end of the aluminum wire 5, and welding is carried out; thereafter, a metal plating layer 2 is formed on at least a portion of the metal wire 1; and a metal plating layer 2a adhering to a welding part 8 of the aluminum wire 5 and metal wire 1 is removed, thereby manufacturing the lead terminal T for capacitor.
