SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING HYBRID BED CONTOUR MAPS

A computer-implemented system has a plurality of software modules operative to generate and present hybrid biological effective dose (BED) data from two or more treatment modalities (e.g., brachytherapy and electron beam radiation therapy). Plural physical-dose conversion modules convert physical dose arrays (PDA) into corresponding first and second arrays of BED values. A BED summation module sums respective points in each of the first and second arrays of BED values and generates a combined BED array. A rendering module operates on the combined BED array and outputs the hybrid BED data presentation in association with at least one biological structure. A method for generating a hybrid BED data presentations in association with at least one biological structure is also disclosed.
