<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein activity of a noble metal catalyst deteriorates and a power generating capacity declines in the case of continuing power generation in a low-temperature operation type fuel cell such as a solid polymer fuel cell wherein ammonium is used for fuel and a noble metal catalyst is used as an electrode catalyst to be used for a catalyst electrode layer. <P>SOLUTION: In operation of the low-temperature operation type fuel cell, after output of the cell reduces and power generation capacity declines, a hydrogen-containing gas is supplied to a fuel chamber for a certain period to restore the declined power generation capacity to continue operation with a high power generation capacity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
