<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid drive unit capable of improving energy efficiency by providing a plurality of switchable modes which are different from one another in torque conversion ratio when torque from an input member is transmitted to an output member, and capable of suppressing the growth of the size of a rotating element machine which receives a reaction force. <P>SOLUTION: A first variable speed mode and a second variable speed mode are provided so as to be switched which are variable speed modes for transmitting input torque to an output rotating element Eo with torque from a first rotating electric machine MG1 as reactive force torque, and are different in rotating elements for transmitting reactive force torque and different from one another in torque conversion ratios. In the second variable speed mode, the torque conversion ratio is set at a value at a torque attenuation side with respect to the first variable speed mode, and the rotation speed of the first rotating electric machine MG1 is decreased and the torque of the first rotating electric machine MG1 is increased so as to be transmitted to a differential gear mechanism G. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
