<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unauthorized utilization of a content key in a memory card to protect a content. <P>SOLUTION: When content key link information CII_CK #2 and #3 corresponding to a content which is designated to be protected, and content key link information CII_CK #1, #4, and #5 corresponding to a content which is not designated to be protected are mixed in a CKI0001.CIL file, a content key management information file CK0003.CIL including the content key link information corresponding to the content which is designated to be protected, and a content key management information file CK0004.CIL including the content key link information corresponding to the content which is not designated to be protected are regenerated from the CKI0001.CIL.
