PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus for enabling a user to control the input timing of utterance to make a natural voice conversation which sounds nice for a third person.

SOLUTION: A first chat terminal 100 having a chat function includes: a text data storage part 104 for storing a candidate text; a voice data storage part 102 for storing a candidate voice and a candidate voice text; a display control part 112 for controlling the display of an operation screen to selectively display a candidate text and a candidate voice text on the operation screen; a selection text acquisition part 110 for acquiring a selection text as a candidate text selected by a user; a selection voice acquisition part 106 for acquiring a selection voice text as a candidate voice text selected by a user and the corresponding selection voice; a voice output part 120 for outputting or transmitting the selection voice; and a text transmission part 114 for transmitting the selection text and the selection voice text to the other information processing apparatus.
