PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel rotation speed detector ensuring sufficient reliability and durability. SOLUTION: The wheel rotation speed detector 5 disposed in an axle housing 2 of a running vehicle includes: a bush 51 inserted into an output shaft insertion hole 411 for inserting an output shaft 3 of a differential 4 and fixed on a differential case 41 in the differential case 41 of the differential 4 housed in the axle housing 2; a coupling 52 inserted into the bush 51 and supported by the bush 51 rotatably and slidably around the output shaft 3 and fitted to the output shaft 3 unrotatably around the output shaft 3; a rotating body 53 fixed on the coupling 52; and a rotation speed sensor 54 disposed in the axle housing 2 for detecting the rotation speed of the rotating body 53.
