PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operation efficiency of a vacuum filter by taking measures to treat wastewater containing foreign matters and by equalizing the abrasion of a scraping blade regardless of its position on the filtering surface in conventional precoat-type vacuum filters. SOLUTION: A precoat-type vacuum filter includes a raw liquid vessel 36, a filter drum 38 and a scraping means 46 (48). The filter drum 38 possesses an inner cylinder 56 arranged concentrically inside an outer cylinder 58, and by dividing equally an annular space between the inner cylinder 56 and the outer cylinder 58 by the partition plates 60, and a plurality of filtering chambers 62 are formed. The respective filtering chambers 62 are connected to branched pipes 66 branched from a filtering main pipe 64 which is served as a rotary shaft in the vicinity of an inside surface in a rotating direction of the partition plates 60. The scraping means 46 is designed so as to support the thin scraping blade 48 with its tip end part escapable by being elastically pressed to a holder 78 movable toward the filtering surface.
