PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the preferable timing of executing leucocyte-removing therapy on a subject suffering from arthrorheumatism, and to provide a kit for executing the method. SOLUTION: The method for determining the timing of executing the leucocyte-removing therapy on the subject suffering from the arthrorheumatism includes the following steps: (1) a step of measuring the amount of produced cytokines selected from the group consisting of interferon-γ, tumor necrosis factor-α, and interleukin-4 by adding a cytokine production stimulator to a specimen obtained from the arthrorheumatism patient before receiving the leucocyte-removing therapy and containing a mononucleosis; (2) a step of setting a reference value based on the amounts of the produced cytokines of measured standard patients; and (3) a step of determining the timing of executing the leucocyte-removing therapy on the subject by comparing the amount of the produced cytokines with the reference value.
