PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing leakage of liquid developer from a concentration adjustment container during conveyance. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a control device that executes: a concentration detection operation in which the concentration of liquid developer in the concentration adjustment container is detected by a concentration sensor; a concentration adjustment operation for adjusting the liquid developer in the concentration adjustment container to a predetermined concentration; and a supply operation in which the liquid developer with the predetermined concentration is conveyed to a storage section after the adjustment. When a power source is turned on in the initial state (S11;Yes), the control device prepares the liquid developer with a first concentration in the concentration adjustment container (S12), carries out first measurement by detecting the concentration of the prepared liquid developer by use the concentration sensor (S13). After the first measurement, the control device conveys the liquid developer in the concentration adjustment container to a storage section (S14), and prepares a liquid developer with a second concentration in the concentration adjustment container, which is different from the first concentration (S15). The control device detects the concentration of the prepared liquid developer by use of the concentration sensor, and carries out the second measurement and calibration (S16).
