PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner preventing high or low pressure gas bypass loss in a case of using a four-way valve for switching high or low pressure of a heat exchanger and a high or low pressure gas pipe. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner in which an indoor unit having an indoor heat exchanger, and an outdoor unit having a compressor and an outdoor heat exchanger are connected by the high or low pressure gas pipe and a liquid pipe in which a refrigerant flows, the outdoor unit includes a heat exchanger four-way valve which connects the outdoor heat exchanger to any one of a compressor discharge side and intake side, and a high or low pressure gas pipe four-way valve which connects the high or low pressure gas pipe to any one of a compressor discharge side and intake side, a dead port of the high or low pressure gas pipe four-way valve and the heat exchanger are connected by a first capillary, and a dead port of the heat exchanger four-way valve and the high or low pressure gas pipe are connected by a second capillary.
