PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability in a WAVE network using two or more antennas. SOLUTION: In a wireless network including mobile receivers and fixed receivers, communications are performed using a beam. The network is operated according to IEEE 802.11p in wireless access (WAVE) to a vehicle environment. The direction from a mobile transmitter-receiver to a fixed receiver is predicted using geographical information that the mobile transmitter-receiver can use. In the mobile transmitter-receiver, a signal set from the fixed receiver is received. Here, those signals are received by an antenna array, those signals are received using a set of beams, and each beam is substantially oriented to the fixed receiver. A signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is measured for each beam and the beam having the most suitable SNR is selected as the most suitable beam for communicating data between the mobile transmitter-receiver and the fixed receiver.
