The tow-bar has a clutch ball carrier that is removable from a vehicle and supporting a clutch ball at an end. An insertion section (4) insertable into a vehicle-fixed insertion sleeve (5) is provided at another end of the carrier. The insertion section is lockable in the insertion sleeve by a locking element (6), which is radially movable opposite to an axis of the insertion section, in an insertion position. The locking element is lockable by a hand-operable lever (12). The lever includes a lever support (20) connected with the locking element, and a lever rod (21) moved within the support.
