<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehumidifier which allows a user to easily recognize the amount of energy used in one operation of the humidifier and can be used in an energy-saving manner by making use of the experience of the amount of clothes and the use environment obtained when the user used the dehumidifier. <P>SOLUTION: The dehumidifier includes a controller for controlling the dehumidifier and calculating the electric energy consumed by the dehumidifier. The controller is provided with a storage portion for storing the electric powers of respective loads of the dehumidifier beforehand. Every time after the elapse of a predetermined time since the start of dehumidifier operation, the electric powers of the respective loads are selected from the storage portion and added to calculate the power consumption of the dehumidifier. The electric energy consumed for the predetermined time by the dehumidifier is calculated and integrated from the product of the power consumption and the predetermined time, thereby calculating the total electric energy consumed since the start of the dehumidifier operation. By this means, the total electric energy consumed since the start of the dehumidifier operation can be calculated without using a voltage sensor and a current sensor and without requiring power factor calculation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
