<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool satisfactorily accelerating a motor upon starting of the motor without overshooting and shortening the starting time. <P>SOLUTION: The power tool includes a motor, a triac for controlling the AC voltage applied to the motor by a conduction angle, and a control means for controlling the rotation of the motor by setting the conduction angle. In the power tool, the control means sets a triac conduction angle not exceeding a first limit conduction angle from the start-up of the motor to a first predetermined time and sets a triac conduction angle not exceeding a second limit conduction angle smaller than the first limit conduction angle after the first predetermined time to a second predetermined time, thereby controlling the starting and acceleration of the motor. The control means has a nonvolatile storage means and stores the first limit conduction angle and the second limit conduction angle in the storage means in advance. A plurality of sets of the first limit conduction angle and the second limit conduction angle are prepared for every set rotational speed and stored in the storage means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
