<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus that reduces a current value per unit pixel and compensates a threshold voltage. <P>SOLUTION: The image display apparatus includes: a first light emitting device and a second emitting element; a driver element formed between the first and second light emitting devices and adjusts a current flowing into the second light emitting device from the first light emitting device; and a first capacitance element that holds electric charges corresponding to the threshold voltage of the driver element; a switching element that switches the connection to both ends of the second light emitting device to an on-state or off-state. When the switching element is off, current flowing out from the first light emitting device flows into the second light emitting device.
