<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic optical fiber capable of achieving excellent light leakage resistance upon bending, heat resistance, moisture resistance, resistance to bending, and close-adhesion performance on a coated layer in a well-balanced manner and being used in indoor wiring and wiring in an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: The plastic optical fiber has a three layer structure constituted by a core, a first clad, and a second clad. The core is formed by (co)polymer containing methylmethacrylate as a main component. The first clad is formed by copolymer containing ethylene of 10-35 wt.%, tetrafluoroethylene of 45-69 wt.%, hexafluoropropylene of 20-45 wt.%, and fluorovinyl compound shown by the formula (1) CH<SB>2</SB>=CX<SP>1</SP>(CF<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>X<SP>2</SP>(wherein, X<SP>1</SP>denotes fluorine atom or hydrogen atom, X<SP>2</SP>denotes fluorine atom, hydrogen atom or carbon atom, and n is an integer of 1-10) of 0.01-10 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
