PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for stably impregnating a stator for rotary electric machines with varnish in a short time. SOLUTION: In the varnish impregnation device 1 for stators 7 for rotary electric machines, a stator 7 is supported by closing the entire gaps between magnetic steel sheets 81 with an inner circumference closing means 3 and an outer circumference closing means 4, bringing one coil end portion 711, protruded from one end face 801 of a stator core 8 in the axial direction, into contact with varnish W in a varnish reservoir 2, and shielding the openings 821 of slots 82 at the one end face 801 in the axial direction from the outside air. Thereafter, the closed space 50 is depressurized by a depressurising means 61 to make the pressure in the closed space 50 lower than the liquid pressure (atmospheric pressure) of the varnish W. Impregnation of the varnish W is facilitated from one coil end portion 711 to the gaps in the slots 82 and the surface of the coil 71. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
