PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge storage type hologram recording medium which can be made small the cartridge storage type hologram recording medium, and which can reduce noises of a recording signal and suppressing reduction of recording capacity by suppressing caused stray light. SOLUTION: The cartridge storage type hologram recording medium 1 comprises: a disk type hologram recording medium 4; a case 2 housing the disk type hologram recording medium 4 inside freely rotatably while shielding the light so that external light does not enter inside; a case opening part 5 provided at the case 2 so that projection light can be incident or emitted on the front and back surfaces of the disk type hologram recording medium 4; and a shutter 3 opening the case opening part 5 if write-in or read-out is performed using the projection light for the disk type hologram recording medium 4, and otherwise closing the case opening part 5.
