PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture apparatus allowing setting of a favorable environment, respectively for each element of a small-sized culture vessel and a manipulator, and practice of automatic culture operation. SOLUTION: The culture apparatus includes: a first chamber and a second chamber which is a culture chamber; and a means for producing moisture only in the second chamber. Thereby, the humidity environment in the first chamber is made different from the humidity environment in the second chamber, and the adversely affecting of the manipulator disposed on the outside of the second chamber, and making access to the second chamber with the moisture can be avoided. The second chamber has a sliding door, and the opening and closing are controlled with a door driving means so as to close an opening provided in the second chamber. The manipulator includes: an operating part for operating the culture vessel; a driving part for driving the operating part; and an auxiliary member for keeping a distance between the operating part and driving part.
