PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping composition that easily enhances vibration damping properties. SOLUTION: The vibration damping composition contains a composite and non-swellable mica. The composite is obtained by solidifying a composite dispersion which is obtained by dispersing montmorillonite in an aqueous resin dispersion which is obtained by dispersing resin particles in an aqueous dispersion medium. The vibration damping composition is also composed as the composite dispersion which is obtained by dispersing the montmorillonite and the non-swellable mica in the aqueous resin dispersion which is obtained by dispersing the resin particles in the aqueous dispersion medium.
