PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymer suitable as a light emitting material, especially as a white light emitting material, and to provide a polymer for a light emitting material. SOLUTION: The polymer includes a unit represented by the formula (1), wherein a ring Z<SP>1</SP>is an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or a condensed polycyclic aromatic heterocycle, and a ring Z<SP>2</SP>is a condensed polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon ring.
