<p>Rubber is roll-formed into a sheet shape having a uniform thickness without forming the rolling surface of a rolling roll used for manufacturing a sheet member into a convex curve shape. Rubber extrusion tips of extruders (20a), (20b) are disposed at a distance of one sixth to one third the distance between roll axis centers from nips (N) between respective pairs of rolling rolls (31, 32), (33, 34), and extrusion rubber materials (G) are supplied from mouth rings (26a), (26b) at the extrusion tips to the nips (N). Sheet members (GS1), (GS2) are formed by roll-forming the respective extrusion rubber materials (G) without forming any rubber bank by the respective pairs of rolling rolls (31, 32), (33, 34), and cords (C) arranged in a row are supplied to a position between the sheet members (GS1), (GS2). Rubber coated cords (P) are formed by pressure-bonding the codes (C) to the sheet members (GS1), (GS2) with the codes sandwiched therebetween by the rolling rolls (32), (33).</p> |
