<p>Provided is a base coat paint composition comprising: a coating film-forming resin component; talc wherein, in volume-based particle size distribution, the particle diameter (D50), at which the cumulative particle diameter distribution from the small diameter side attains 50%, falls within a range of 1-10 µm, and the ratio (Pr=P2/P1) of the content (P2; %) of particles having particle diameter of 3-10 µm inclusive to the content (P1; %) of particles having particle diameter of 0.1 µm or more and less than 3 µm is at least 1.1; and a resin having hydroxyl group and phosphate group. By using this paint composition, a coating film having high smoothness, high vividness, high adhesiveness and good chipping resistance can be formed.</p> |
