<p>The present invention provides a method for designing an inhibitor that is capable of targeting multiple members of a miRNA family. In particular, the present invention provides inhibitors for reducing the expression or activity of two or members of the miR-30 family or the let-7 family. Methods of using such inhibitors for the treatment of cardiovascular disease are also disclosed.</p>
