PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a dentifrice composition including sodium chloride in a crystalline state, sodium fluoride and silica. SOLUTION: This production method can efficiently give a nearly neutral dentifrice composition by dissolving sodium fluoride under sodium chloride-free and silica-free conditions, and formulating it with sodium chloride and silica, where preferably the content of sodium chloride is 5-35 mass% to the whole amount of the dentifrice composition, and the silica is preferably abrasive silica and the content thereof is 5-35 mass%.
