<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging roll with low hardness while having excellent fatigue resistance and in which a failure in an image or cracking in a protective layer hardly occur even when used for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The charging roll includes a conductive elastic body layer provided on an outer circumferential surface of a shaft body and furthermore includes a protective layer installed on the outside of the layer. In this case, the conductive elastic body layer includes a two layer structure comprising of an inner layer formed by using a conductive rubber composition A with ion conductive rubber as a main component and an outer layer formed by using a conductive rubber composition B with ion conductive rubber as a main component. At the same time, the conductive elastic layer is composed to have 100% tensile stress in the inner layer to be 0.5 to 1.4 MPa, 100% tensile stress in the outer layer to be 5.0 to 16.0 MPa and 100% tensile stress in the protective layer to be 11.0 to 56.0 MPa. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
