PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-calibrated interrogation system for a photo-sensor. SOLUTION: An optical pressure sensor interrogation system (40) is provided. This system includes a light source (44) for providing a light signal (46) to an optical pressure sensor (42), and an optical coupler (54) for receiving a signal (50) reflected from the pressure sensor (42). The reflected signal (50) is divided by the optical coupler (54), and a first portion (56) of the reflected signal (50) is provided to a first photodetector (60). This system further includes a filter (64) for receiving a second portion (58) of the reflected signal (50) and providing a filtered signal (68) to a second photodetector (62), and a processing circuit (70) structured so as to acquire a pressure based on the division or subtraction of light intensities one by/from the other on output signals of the first and second photodetectors. Further, the processing circuit (70) is structured so as to provide a feedback signal to the light source for controlling the wavelength of the light signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
