PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite container and a method of manufacturing the composite container, preventing slip of fibers at ends of the fibers wound around a liner, enhancing pressure resistance of the composite container and shortening a manufacturing time. SOLUTION: The composite container has reinforcing parts 5 in which end faces 5c lie at outer peripheral edges of opposite ends of a body 2, which are provided to cover dome parts 3 and in which an outer diameter D<SB>5</SB>at the end faces 5c is larger than the outer diameter D<SB>2</SB>of the body 2. In an area 2a on the outer peripheral surface of the body 2 interposed between the end faces 5c of the respective reinforcing parts 5, the fibers 6 are wound in hoop winding to have the same winding thickness with the outer diameter D<SB>5</SB>of the reinforcing parts 5. The fibers 7 are further wound in helical winding around the fibers 6 wound in the area 2a and the outer peripheral surfaces 5a of the reinforcing parts 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
