PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved engine with EGR device not causing new trouble damaging an actuator by intruding water by preventing water from entering a valve from a hole during car washing or the like while providing a hole on a valve housing for protecting an EGR valve actuator. SOLUTION: The engine with the EGR device includes a valve element 13, a valve shaft 18 on which the same is attached, an EGR valve 6 including a valve housing 65 slidably supporting and surrounding the valve shaft 18, and an actuator 66 acting on the valve shaft 18 and opening and closing the EGR valve 6. An exhaust gas discharge port 32 communicating to an inside and an outside of the housing is formed at a section 30 between a support part 23 slidably supporting a valve shaft 18 in the valve housing 65 and a joining part 24 to which the actuator 66 is joined, and an exhaust gas discharge passage 33 providing communication between the exhaust gas discharge port 32 and a compressor inlet side 58 of a supercharger 54 is installed.
