PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pillar structure of a vehicle body restraining a pillar from being deformed toward an inner side of a cabin in a side collision of a vehicle while minimizing the increase of cost and weight. SOLUTION: As the pillar structure of the vehicle body that constitutes a closed cross-sectional structure by an outer panel 7 and an inner panel 6 and includes a center pillar 1 extending substantially in the vertical direction, a structure for connecting a reinforced member 15 to a portion including at least a circumference of an opening 11 of the inner panel 6 of the center pillar 1 is employed. Also, the reinforced member 15 has a substantially L-shaped cross-sectional shape in the vertical direction of the vehicle, and is connected to a vertical wall 18 substantially in parallel to the circumference of the opening 11 of the inner panel 6 in the vehicle width direction. Further, the reinforced member 15 is connected to a surface of the opening 11 of the inner panel 7 on an outer side in the vehicle width direction on a rear side of the vehicle (on an inner surface of a pillar closed cross-sectional surface).
