PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely fix an absorbent body to clothes without impairing the sense of use of an absorbent article. SOLUTION: The sanitary napkin 1 includes a liquid-permeable top sheet 3, a liquid-impermeable back sheet 4, and the absorbent body 2 including an absorber 5 disposed between the top sheet 3 and back sheet 4. The sanitary napkin 1 also includes a wing forming body 10 between the top sheet 3 and the back sheet 4. The wing forming body 10 includes wing forming members 11L and 11R for forming a pair of wings 12L and 12R extending outward over the right and left side edges 2L and 2R of the absorbent body 2. The wing forming members 11L and 11R are composed of two intermediate sheets 13T and 13B layered on each other respectively, and the absorber 5 is held between the intermediate sheets 13T AND 13B of the respective wing forming members 11L and 11R.
