PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in whovh an opening facing a crotch part of a wearer formed in an absorbent sheet member is kept largely. SOLUTION: In the absorbent article 1, a front pocket 26 is formed between a front part absorbing core 212 of the absorbent sheet member 20 and a back sheet 23. On both sides of the front pocket 26, an end part of the back sheet 23 is folded inside in the width direction together with a core covering sheet 22 and a side sheet 3 on the side opposite to the wearer and fixed onto the back sheet 23, so that a pair of fold-back part 235 extended along a longitudinal direction is formed. Thus, strength of the back sheet 23 in the longitudinal direction is improved from the front pocket 26 to a central exposure region of the back sheet 23 overlapping an opening of the absorbent sheet member 20. As a result, it is suppressed that the central exposure region is contracted greatly in the longitudinal direction by contraction of sidewall part elastic members 32, 35 and a core part elastic member 29, so that the opening of the absorbent sheet member 20 is maintained large.
