PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acidic liquid enteral nutrient which secures good emulsification stability even when being rendered acidic, has few insoluble matters, has low viscosity to excel in tube flowability, and can be ingested in supplementing nutrition to the old people and patients who require nutritional support. SOLUTION: The acidic liquid enteral nutrient, comprising a protein, a lipid, a carbohydrate, a vitamin, a mineral, and a dietary fiber blended therein, and having pH of the range of 3-4, is obtained by: keeping the condition of containing the protein, the lipid, 200-5,000 unit of a protease per 1 g of the protein, 0.2-1 wt.% of an organic acid monoglyceride, and 0.1-0.7 wt.% of a pectin for 10-60 minutes so that the viscosity may be 5-40 mPa s, the weight of insoluble matters may be 0.5 g or less per 50 g of the nutrient when centrifuging for 60 minutes by 2,610×g; stopping the reaction of the protease in a range of pH 3-4 by acid addition; and homogenizing by a pressure of 50 MPa or more with a high pressure homogeneous machine; and thereafter sterilizing by heat.
