SYSTEM FOR ILLUMINATING ROAD

PURPOSE: A road lighting system is provided to implement an operation by controlling a lamp unit through a wired relay when the communication with a central control device is trouble due to a facility malfunction or bad weather. CONSTITUTION: A lamp unit(110) comprises a light source dimming a road surface, a CPU and an external connector. The external connector receives power from the outside and communicates with the outside. A vehicle sensor(120) determines whether a vehicle is on a road. A wired relay control device(130) is formed at each lamp unit and controls the lamp unit and the vehicle sensor. A wireless relay device(150) bi-directionally relays the wired relay control device and the central control device.
