METHOD FOR PROCESSING LOW-GRADE IRON SCRAP INTO RAW MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing low-grade iron scrap into a raw material for appropriately obtaining high-purity iron scrap recyclable for iron-making raw material for high-grade steel products by removing non-iron content such as copper wire from low-grade iron scrap in which the non-ferrous content such as copper wire is mixed.

SOLUTION: The low-grade iron scrap 11 in which the non-ferrous content such as copper wires 2 are is mixed is crushed by a crusher 21; rocking repulsion type separator 22 is applied to a crushed mixture 12 to disintegrate copper wires 2 entangled with the iron content 1; thereafter, the crushed mixture is separated into magnetic material 14 and non-magnetic material 15 by a magnetic separator 24 and a content separated as the magnetic material 14 is recovered as the high-purity iron scrap.
