<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very economical column-beam joint part core capable of reducing frequency of welding for butt welding and reducing amount of steel material used for it in a well-balanced manner while satisfying the required rigidity when joining and welding two channel steel members. <P>SOLUTION: In this column-beam joint part core of non-diaphragm type, a pair of opposing flanges 2 on one side among four flanges (sides) of a thick-walled square steel pipe are parallel flanges having uniform plate thickness tpf and a pair of opposing flanges 3 on the other side are tapered flanges having the thinnest part having plate thickness ttf(min). With respect to a cross sectional shape of the thick-walled square steel pipe, when a taper angle of the tapered flange is θtf(rad), the relation between the plate thickness ttf(min) of the thinnest part of the tapered flange and the plate thickness tpf of the parallel flange satisfies substantially the following expression, ttf(min)/tpf=e<SP>-1.0θtf</SP>, and the ttf(min) is set to be larger than thickness of the square steel pipe columns attached above and below. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
