<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid coolant composition which can attain all of lowered oral toxicity, lowered freezing point and lowered viscosity, while keeping its anticorrosion properties. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid coolant composition is used after having been diluted with water, and includes glycerin and a salt of a 4-8C dicarboxylic acid as main components. The salt of the dicarboxylic acid is preferably an alkali metal salt of succinic acid, glutaric acid, adipic acid or suberic acid, and is particularly preferably an alkali metal salt of adipic acid. The contents of the glycerin and the salt of the dicarboxylic acid is preferably 20-80 mass% of glycerin and 80-20 mass% of the salt of the dicarboxylic acid with respect to the total amount of the glycerin and the salt of the dicarboxylic acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
