MICROCHANNEL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchannel device capable of conducting a separation analysis of a sample in a solution in a sophisticated manner.

SOLUTION: The microchannel device includes a plurality of linear channels 21 and curved channels 22 connecting ends of the neighboring linear channels 21. A width w of each curved channel is smaller than a width t of each linear channel. A radius of curvature r of each curved channel is set so that a value of a expressed by a formula (1) is equal to or lower than the value of a at a maximum point of a theoretical step height H based on a shape of the curved channels expressed by a formula (2), wherein, ucis a channel passing speed of the solution in the curved channels 22;γis a molecular diffusion inhibitor by a base material existing in the curved channels 22; and Dmis a molecular diffusion coefficient of the solution.
