PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve energy saving performance by inexpensively structuring a power generating-air conditioning system capable of efficiently coping with variations in air conditioning loads by reasonably using a motor-driven compressor and an engine-driven compressor. SOLUTION: This power generating-air conditioning system includes the motor-driven compressor 11 driven by an electric motor 10, and the engine-driven compressor 9 driven by an engine 3. When the air conditioning load is smaller than the minimum air conditioning load, the motor-driven compressor 11 excellent in efficiency at low load is used, and when the air conditioning load is between the minimum air conditioning load and an intermediate air conditioning load only by the engine-driven compressor 9, the engine-driven compressor 9 is used. When the air conditioning load is larger than the intermediate air conditioning load, both of the motor-driven compressor 11 and the engine-driven compressor 9 are used to perform air conditioning. In the driving condition of the engine-driven compressor 9, power is generated by an alternator 6, and the generated power is supplied to an outdoor fan 14 and a cooling water pump 15 with higher priority than commercial power from a commercial power supply 18, and a surplus is charged in a battery 19.
