PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for producing polyorganosiloxane particles and organic inorganic composite particles having desired particle diameters and a narrow particle size distribution, specifically a method for producing polyorganosiloxane particles and organic inorganic composite particles having small variations in particle diameters among production lots. SOLUTION: The method for producing polyorganosiloxane particles and organic inorganic composite particles comprises a synthesizing step of performing a hydrolysis condensation reaction of an alkoxysilane compound in a mixed solvent essentially containing alcohol to synthesize polyorganosiloxane particles, wherein the alcohol in which the number of particles with particle diameters of 2μm or less, which are unavoidable impurities, is 5 to 200/ml is used in the synthesizing step.
