PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforced polybutadiene rubber having excellent fatigue resistance, and comprising cis-1,4-polybutadiene and syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene. SOLUTION: A method of producing a reinforced polybutadiene rubber comprises: subjecting 1,3-butadiene to cis-1,4 polymerization in an inactive organic solvent by using a catalyst comprising a soluble cobalt compound, a halogen-containing organic aluminum compound and water; and subjecting the obtained polymerization mixture to syndiotactic-1,2 polymerization with addition of a soluble cobalt compound and a trialkyl aluminum in the presence of carbon disulfide. In the method, no carbon disulfide is allowed to be present during the cis-1,4 polymerization. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
