PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strong wooden molded article and manufacturing method therefor wherein a shape having a large curvature and complex contour can be processed easily and grains having good touch and feeling can appear on a surface. SOLUTION: A wooden molded article 1a includes a substrate layer 3 comprising wooden chips 31, a surface layer 2 comprising a sliced sheet of pure natural wooden material having 140μm or less of a thickness which is laminated on a surface of the substrate layer 3, resin parts 5 provided on the substrate layer 3 and the surface layer 2 which adhere the wooden chips 31 in the substrate layer 3 to one another and also adhere at the same time the substrate layer 3 to the surface layer 2, and a back surface layer 4 laminated on a back surface of the substrate layer 3, wherein the resin parts 5 are placed on the surface layer 2 in such a way that a resin amount filled in a surface side of the surface layer 2 is smaller than that on a back surface side of the surface layer 2 contacted to the substrate layer 3.
