PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus capable of preventing unevenness in print density. SOLUTION: The printing apparatus, which prints by moving a printhead with respect to an ink ribbon rotated and transported in a predetermined direction, is equipped with a control means which analyzes print data and performs one-direction print while moving the printhead in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction on the basis of the analysis result.
