PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MTF measurement instrument for measuring MTF by using a chart in an optional direction depending on angles being radially and equally divided from a center and having a pattern of colors with different contrasts. SOLUTION: The MTF measurement instrument 1 determines an area straddling the radial areas with horizontally and vertically different contrast as a standard ROI, specifies an area of a targeted image for measurement at each angle which becomes an image area made by rotating by each divided angle by a means for specifying ROI at each angle 114, generates the ROI by each rotated angle which is made by rotating the image in the area so as to reach the position of the standard ROI by a ROI rotating means 122, and calculates the MTF of the standard ROI and ROI at each rotated angle by a MTF measuring means 133.
