PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a coffee composition having both a high chlorogenic acid concentration and a low caffeine concentration. SOLUTION: The method for producing the coffee composition includes a process for extracting a coffee extract from coffee beans, a process for adjusting the pH of the coffee extract to a pH higher by 0.2-2 than the pH of the coffee extract, and a process for treating the pH-adjusted coffee extract with a porous adsorbent.
