PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wrong photographing by improving the accuracy in determining the degree of smiling face. SOLUTION: Regarding a photographic apparatus, photograph control method, photograph control program or portable terminal device, a relative relation between the degree of smiling face deduced from an image and a threshold which is to be compared with the degree of smiling face is changed to shift the photographing timing, thereby reducing or avoiding the influences due to instantaneous variations in the degree of smiling face deduced from the image (fluctuations in the degree of smiling face caused by image distortions or casing movements).
